Minert family of 6

Daisy in the NICU

Our little Angel

Daisy Mae Michelle Minert was born July 22nd, 2009 at about 4:50pm. She weighed 7lbs 5ozs, and was 18 3/4 inches long.

When she was born she never cried at all which is a lot different than with our other kids. She had some trouble keeping her food down and had to spend time in the NICU but she is home now and doing great.

Jeff is trading options for a living now and not spending as much time working with Minert and Associates.

Gracie and Chase start school tomorrow, Chase in kindergarten and Gracie in first grade. They are not too excited but mom definitely is.

My oldest has turned 6! I remember when Gracie was first born and everybody told me "that the time flies by and goes so fast" I remember thinking she's only 5 months old. Now she's 6 years old and in Kindergarten. It's true that they do grow up fast. Anybody who has a baby now and wishes that there baby would crawl, walk, talk, etc.... Just remember they have the rest of there lives to do those things and to enjoy every moment while there little.

I gave Gracie a birthday party at our house on February 7th at our house. It was a valentines theme. It was so much fun and Gracie and her friends had a good time. It was so cute to see her interact with her friends and classmates from school. First we played Valentine Bingo, Gracie's favorite-musical chairs, and then pin the cupid on the heart. Next I had them decorate there own cupcakes and sang happy birthday. I made them these princess drinks that consisted of Cherry 7-up, vanilla ice-cream, and whip cream with pink sprinkles. They were so yummy! The girls ended up blowing bubbles in there drinks and laughing hysterically.

Jeff and I got Gracie a new bicycle since she had totally outgrown her first bike. She went from a 16" to a 20". It's the cutest bike ever and now I want one just like it. It's a little beach cruiser with a little basket in front and is Purple and Orange. She is really enjoying riding around in the neighborhood and can't wait to go on an official bike ride when the weather gets warmer.

Thank You everybody who helped me with the party Fay, Megan, and Holli. I couldn't of pulled it off without you.

Gracie, I love you and couldn't imagine my life without you. You are my special little girl.

2008 Christmas

Well...It's 9:45 p.m. Christmas Evening and I'm absolutely exhausted! I've got to say that we had a very delightful Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to my in-laws house and ate some yummy sea food, I'm talkin King Crab Legs, Bacon wrapped scallops, and Lobster. Oh my was it heavenly. All the grand kids put on a nativity scene. That was super cute.

From Left to Right: Chase kneeling, Carter as Joseph, Brilee as Mary, Gracie as an angel, Addie as a wisewoman, and chance as an observer.

Christmas Morning was so much fun. The kids loved what they got and so do I. Jeff got me a surveillance system for the house so I can be in the bathroom getting ready and see what the kids are doing around the house. I never thought I wanted one until I got one. All in all it was a very sucessful Christmas. I'm so grateful for all my family and friends during this holiday season and for the birth of our savior Jesus Christ. I feel so blessed and so undeserving of all that I have. I hope I can live in a way that's pleasing unto my savior and express my gratitude towards him in my actions and live faithfully here on earth.

Well as they say "Merry Christmas to All and to All a good night"

The Kids got ATM's so they can start saving their hard earned cash.

Chase is putting together a Helicoptor with his drill.

Chance Lovin his race track.

Chase kindly showing Chance how to unwrap presents:)

Pre-Christmas Blog

I know it's been a long time since I've blogged. Life has been hectic and crazy.
Jeff and I have found out thatI'm pregnant with our fourth child. Now that sounds crazy to me! I guess I am kinda crazy and loopy sometimes. Anyways the news has brought excitement, and joy to our home. I've gotta say...I'm a little nervous about being a mother of 4. But who wouldn't be right? We are hoping for a girl but right now we just want the baby to be healthy.
The other day Chase had a Christmas program for his preschool and that was so cute. It was so nice that they focused on Christ and his birth instead of Santa. They even did a cute nativity play. I'm really trying to reinforce the true meaning of Christmas and that helps when they talk about it in school.
Well that's the latest and greatest news in the Minert household.
Have a Merry Christmas!

Happenings

Okay so I'm back. It's been a busy month or so. It seems like ever since Gracie went off to Kindergarten I suddenly have a life! And not just any life...a life that I actually need a calendar to write stuff down so I don't forget because I'm soooo booked! We've been busy with soccer every Wednesday and Saturday going to there games. They seemed to have enjoyed soccer but are still trying to learn the fundamental concepts like for example...kicking it in your own goal. But it's been really fun watching them play. I'm officially a soccer Mom. I'm the one cheering on the sidelines and yelling comments at my kids! Yep, that's me. I had no idea how competitive I could be. Who knew?
We went to the pumpkin patch this last week for FHE night and we had so much fun. We jumped on this jumpy thing, played in a corn box, rode a cow train, pedaled doon buggys, and picked out pumpkins. Not to mention it was all FREE!!! Well everything but the pumpkins we picked out. I seriously wanted to go back because we had so much fun. Now were getting ready for Halloween and anxiously waiting the arrival of Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. They are coming into town for my newphew Dallin's baptism. So they'll be here for a family tradition of Tacos on Halloween and will be able to see them in there costumes. I'm busy trying to get the house clean for there arrival. In fact yesterday I spend 3 and half hours cleaning out my fridge. I gotta say it was pretty dang sick in there. You have no idea how dirty it really is until you start taking food out of your fridge. Anyways until next time my fellow bloggers--Carrie
P.S. Enjoy the pics because it took me over 3 hours to figure how to post these:)

Help!

Okay so I need help trying to figure out this thing. Any volunteers??? I need to figure out how to post pictures and maybe some music.

Blogging

So...I've decided to start this whole blog thing. I don't want to be one of those Moms that doesn't know how to do anything. I remember my Mom didn't know how to work a VCR and we would tease her about it. Now I'm finding myself not keeping up with all the new technology. I'm barely learning how to use a digital camera these days.
